Cross Flatts Park Tennis Court Improvement Update

Writer's picture: Cllr Paul WrayCllr Paul Wray

We've been advised that the Lawn Tennis Association has now approved the grant to improve the tennis courts at Cross Flatts Park in Beeston, and work should start by the end of March.

Cllr Andrew Scopes, Angela Gabriel (on behalf of Friends of Cross Flatts Park), and myself visited the same scheme which had improved a court in Gipton and Harehills Ward at the backend of last year, and we were impressed with the quality of the improvements.

Although the courts will be locked when not in use, they will be free to use, and Andrew and myself were reassured at how quick and easy it was to register and book them, which we did within less than three minutes, and we received the code to unlock them within seconds of submitting the form.
