I have received multiple complaints at this location since Highways Leeds approved the use of the non-used "local buses only" layby as a coach stop following the suspension of the Kirkgate stop post building collapse.
Highways Leeds have now written to Flixbus to make it clear the examples we have received of passenger behaviour and traffic violations by their coaches will not be tolerated.
Flixbus has been required to provide assurance these issues will not continue and to advise how they will ensure this.
I welcome Highways Leeds involvement and strong stance but I'm still of the mind the use of this layby is unacceptable for a coach drop-off point and will continue to lobby for the highways authority for this use to stop.
