Here is my quick round up of some of the last week. It has been a very light week of meetings due to many officers, elected members, and partners are on annual leave. But there was still plenty of work to do.
On Wednesday, I attended a quarterly meeting of lead equality members as part of my role at looking at means health in Leeds. I then attended a thank you party to celebrate Cllr Mohammed Iqbal's re-election and Cllr Shaf Ali Beeston & Holbeck election.
On Thursday I attended a site visit in Hunslet Carr to look at the plans for the restoration of a field that that has been used for a site compound. Immediately after, I had a meeting with officers as part of my monthly Chair of Panels Panel update and briefing.
I then dropped by the Youth Service to see them set up a fun day on Grove Road in Hunslet. I then attended a meeting with Vastint about an upcoming planning application.
On Saturday I joined some members of Beeston In bloom ( Leeds ) to help remain some of the graffitied bins on Cross Flatts Park, I then bumped into the ISSE football project, who have been doing great work getting young South Asian boys and girls into sport.
I then join the Friends of Hunslet Moor to help remove a large branch that had fallen on their community but. Luckily there was no damage to building.
Throughout, I have continued to work on ongoing and new casework, answering residents questions, can working on different projects across the ward.
